The EV Charger shares some settings with other devices. For detailed information on managing these shared features, please refer to our general device settings guide.

Accessing Settings and Information

You can access the settings and information for your EV Charger through two methods:

  1. Via the App Menu:

    • Tap the menu icon (three bars) in the upper left corner of the app.

    • Navigate to "Manage Devices" and select your EV Charger by name.

  1. From the Home Screen:

    • Tap the charger icon next to the EV Charger name.

    • On the Control page, tap the "gear" icon in the upper right corner to access Settings.

Available Settings

A standard Settings page for the EV Charger typically looks like this:

  • EV Charger Info: Takes you to the information and settings page.

  • Schedule: Opens the scheduling settings page. You can also access this from the "Management" button at the bottom of the app and the EV Charger control page. Detailed scheduling management instructions are available here.

  • Link EV Charger with Alexa: (Article coming soon)

  • LED Troubleshooting Help: (Article coming soon)

  • Shared With, Reset WiFi, Clear Data, and Remove from Account: Covered in our General Device Settings article.

EV Charger Information

Tapping on the "EV Charger Info" menu option will bring you to the following details:

  • Name, Serial, and Firmware Version: Detailed in our General Device Info article.

  • Nest Under Information: Available here.

  • Primary Vehicle: An optional field for adding your vehicle's make/model. More features for this field will be added in future updates.

  • Dedicated Breaker / Max Charge: Critical for safe EV Charger management. Set this field to match the maximum breaker rating (as shown on the breaker). The charge rate will automatically be kept below this value to ensure safety. Ensure this setting does not exceed the breaker's or NEMA plug's rating. For example, with the included NEMA plug, set to no higher than "40A (7.7kW/32A max charge)." The max charge amount shown is 20% less than the breaker rating to comply with NEC regulations.

  • Status: Displays the current real-time behavior of the EV Charger, matching the status shown on the Control page within the app.
