Creating an Emporia account

Step-by-step guidance to set up your Emporia account and begin monitoring your energy usage remotely.

The Emporia platform offers two convenient ways to create an account:

  1. Sign Up with Your Email Address

    • Create an account directly with Emporia by providing your email address and setting a custom password.

    • You’ll receive an account verification email containing a 6-digit code to complete the sign-up process. If running into any problems at this step, please see this article.

  2. Sign Up with Google or Apple

    • Use your existing Google or Apple ID for a streamlined account creation process.

    • Manage your Emporia account credentials (like password resets) through your chosen third-party provider. Note: Password resets will be handled by Google or Apple, not through the Emporia app.

Required Information

When signing up directly with Emporia, you'll need to provide:

  • First and Last Name

  • Email Address

  • Account Password (securely encrypted and stored)

For third-party sign-ups, ensure that your email is accessible. If using Apple ID with a private relay email, check that inbox or enable forwarding to avoid missing important messages such as CSV exports.

Additional Notes

  • All accounts must agree to our Terms of Service during sign-up.

  • You can opt out of promotional emails from Emporia at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails.
