Changing Your Account Password

A guide to resetting or updating your Emporia account password securely through the app.

Important Note for Third-Party authenticated Accounts:

If your Emporia account was created using a third-party service like Google or Apple ID, password management (including resets) is handled through those services. You will need to visit your Google or Apple account settings to reset your password. The Emporia Energy app does not directly manage credentials for third-party accounts.

Forgot Password: How to Reset Your Emporia Account Password

If you've forgotten your Emporia account password or want to change it, you can easily reset it through the Emporia app.

Step 1: Log Out of Your Current Account

Before proceeding, log out of your existing account (if you're logged in):

  1. Open the Menu (☰) in the top-left corner.

  2. Select Account.

  3. Tap Sign Out to exit the account.

Step 2: Access the Forgot Password Option

  1. From the home screen, select Sign In and Sign In with Email.

  2. Select the Forgot Password? option.

  1. On the next screen, enter your Emporia account email address in the field provided.

Step 3: Complete the Password Reset

  1. Tap Reset to send a password reset email to the address you provided.

  2. Check your inbox for the reset email and follow the instructions to create a new password.
