The CT's on the Vue: Gen 3 have upgraded connection points that allow for increased installation flexibility by allowing you to customize the length of the CT's as needed for your project.

Sensor wires are 22AWG, and you can use 16-22AWG wiring (w/ 600V rating) for extensions. Recommended to keep extensions < ~20 feet as further distances can cause inaccuracies for measurements.

The most important part of this process is ensuring you terminate the correct wires (positive and negative) to the appropriate ports marked on the Vue: Gen 3 device. Those ports have a solid/"filled-in" circle for the Black/positive wire, and an empty circle for the White/negative wire.

1.) Remove (un-terminate) the wires from the green terminal block (on each wire).

2.) Connect your extension wires with wire nuts to the sensor wires.

3.) Re-terminate the extension wire to the green terminal block ensuring the positive (black) wire from the sensor matches the black (solid) label marked above the terminal port on the Vue: Gen 3 device (labels shown above).

4.) Plug the sensor terminal block into the Vue: Gen 3 terminal port.

1.) Remove (un-terminate) the wires from the green terminal block (on each wire).

2.) Clip the sensor wire to specific length.

3.) Strip insulation off tips of wires (< 1").

4.) Twist stranded copper wire together to ensure proper connectivity.

5.) Re-terminate sensor wire into the green terminal block ensuring the positive (black) wire from the sensor matches the black (solid) label marked above the terminal port on the Vue: Gen 3 device (labels shown above).

6.) Plug the sensor terminal block into the Vue: Gen 3 terminal port.
