Emporia Energy is committed to offering innovative solutions for home energy monitoring through our latest device launch, the Vue: Gen 3. It's important to understand the architecture of our products as you consider adding them to your home or seek to deepen your understanding of your current system.

Our devices, including the Vue: Gen 3, are designed to operate primarily through cloud-based services. This means that all data collected by your device is transmitted to and accessed via the Emporia cloud, ensuring secure and efficient data management. This architecture facilitates remote access to your energy data from anywhere, anytime, through the Emporia app.

At this time, we do not offer direct local access to the device data. This decision aligns with our commitment to delivering secure and easily accessible energy monitoring solutions. We understand the desire for local data access and appreciate feedback from our customers regarding their preferences and needs. While there are no immediate plans to introduce local access capabilities, we continuously evaluate our product features based on customer feedback.

Note: Local device access is not available on any Emporia devices at the moment, including all Vue energy monitors.
