One common topic we run into on the Customer Support team is about where/how the EV Charger can be installed in relation to its physical position/orientation. Our Installation Guide recommends that the EV Charger be mounted ~24"-48" off the ground. In reality, these recommendations are fairly flexible as to exactly how it should be mounted. The biggest concern when installing is making sure that the EV Charger is off the ground to protect it from flooding or pooled water. Other than that consideration, you're pretty free to install it as needed.

1.) Higher/lower than the 24"-48" recommendation? Higher is totally fine, be we wouldn't recommend going much lower than 24" just to make sure its well elevated in case of any flooding.
2.) Can I mount the EV Charger upside-down? Yes, however its watertight certification assumes an upright vertical orientation. If installing upside-down, important to make sure no water/moisture will be collecting on the EV Charger.
3.) Can I mount it sideways? Yes, similar to above.
4.) Indoors/Outdoors? Yes, details covered here.
5.) On the ceiling? Yes.

Any qualified electrician will also be able to help find an appropriate mounting location for the EV Charger as needed.
