The improved EV Charging Report is designed to give you deeper insights into your charging patterns, energy consumption, and costs.
What's New?
Monthly Charging Reports: Receive a comprehensive report at the beginning of each month summarizing your charging activity from the previous month.
Detailed Calendar View: Visualize your charging days, energy consumed, and costs in an easy-to-read calendar format.
Session Insights: Access detailed information about individual charging sessions.
Historical Data Access: Navigate back to previous months to compare and analyze past charging data.
Actionable Insights: Get personalized tips and recommendations to optimize your charging habits and save money.
Navigating to the EV Charging Report
You can access the EV Charging Report in three convenient ways:
1. Push Notification
At the start of each month, you'll receive a push notification summarizing your EV charging activity from the previous month.
How to Access:
Tap on the Monthly EV Charging Report push notification when it appears on your device.
You'll be taken directly to the EV Charging Report for that specific month.
To return, simply tap the back arrow to go back to your notifications list.
2. Notifications Page
All your notifications are stored in the app for easy access.
How to Access:
Open the Emporia Energy app and tap on the Notifications tab.
Find and tap on the Monthly Charging Report notification for the desired month.
You'll be directed to the EV Charging Report for that month.
Tap the back arrow to return to the notifications list.
3. EV Controller Page
Access your charging history directly from the EV Charger controls.
How to Access:
Open the Emporia Energy app and navigate to the EV Charger Control page.
Tap on the Charging History button located under the control settings.
You'll see the EV Charging Report for the current month.
Use the back arrow to return to the EV Charger Control page.
Understanding Your EV Charging Report
When you open the EV Charging Report, you'll find a wealth of information designed to help you understand and optimize your EV charging.
Calendar View
Monthly Overview: See a calendar displaying the days you charged your EV.
Energy Consumption: View the total energy consumed each day.
Cost Analysis: Understand how much your charging sessions cost based on your energy rates.
Charging Sessions
Detailed Sessions: Tap on individual days to see specific charging sessions, including start and stop times, energy used, and costs.
Segmented Button: Use the segmented button at the top of the report to switch between the calendar view and detailed charging sessions for the month.
Historical Data
Navigate Past Months: Swipe or tap to move between different months and compare your charging history over time.
Actionable Insights
Personalized Recommendations: Receive tips on how to save money and optimize your charging habits.
Call to Action: Explore suggested actions that could benefit your energy consumption and savings.
Important Notes
Daily Totals vs. Sessions:
Daily Totals: Calculated from midnight to midnight, reflecting all charging activity within that 24-hour period.
Charging Sessions: Based on the actual start and stop times of each charging session.
Overnight Charging: If a charging session spans overnight (e.g., starts at 10 PM and ends at 2 AM), the energy consumed will be split across two days in the Daily Totals but will appear as a single session in Charging Sessions.
Sessions Display:
Sessions are now filtered by month (similar to the report) and orders each session by date descending.
