Sharing Devices across multiple Emporia accounts

We've recently added the ability to "share" device access across different Emporia accounts. That allows multiple family members to have their own Emporia account while still having the same access to a shared device as well as other use cases.

First - make sure you're on an up-to-date version of the Emporia Energy app with a version number higher than

  1. Select the menu bars on the top left of the app

  2. Then navigate to Manage Devices

  3. Select Share Devices

  4. Enter the email of the person you would like to add

  5. Select the device(s) you would like to invite them too

  6. Select Share at the bottom of the app

Note - all users with shared access to an Emporia device will have the same permissions available. We'll be introducing account-specific permissions at a later date. If you'd like to see that feature available within Emporia sooner rather than later, feel free to submit a feature request through the Customer Support team.
