Understanding Currency Calculations

The app calculates energy costs based on the rate you set in cents per kWh, which is a standard unit of measurement for energy pricing.

If you are using a currency other than U.S. dollars, think of "cents" as representing a fraction of your chosen currency:

  • For example, in the case of euros (€), "1 cent per kWh" would correspond to 0.01 euros per kWh.

  • You can adjust the actual rate to match your local utility pricing. See our Customizing Rates article for guidance on how to do this.

This approach ensures the app remains flexible for international customers while providing accurate cost calculations based on the rate you configure.
