Firmware Updates - OTA

Updated over a week ago

All our devices (Smart Plugs, Energy Monitors, EVSEs) receive regular firmware updates to improve reliability and add new functionality. These firmware updates should happen automatically and OTA ("over the air"). Whenever a new firmware version is available, the device should check the Emporia cloud at least once per day and update as soon as it finds a new version. If you wish to check your device's current firmware version, you can do so in the following way:

1. Select Menu (☰)

2. Select Manage Devices under Settings

3. Select your Device

4. Select Device Info (at the top) - the firmware version will be listed below the Save button.

If your device is having trouble updating its firmware, please try to power cycle the device (Turn if off and then back on) and try a WiFi reset.

If you continue to have problems with the firmware updates, please feel free to reach out to the Customer Support team for assistance.
