The beauty of PowerSmart lies in its simplicity. To enable this feature, you only need:

Our products are designed with seamless integration in mind. The Vue 2 and Vue 3 Home Energy Monitors diligently monitor your electrical system, while all Emporia Energy EV Charger models are compatible with this feature.

Setting Up PowerSmart

  1. Install and Set Up: Ensure your Vue Home Energy Monitor (Vue 2 or Vue 3) and EV Charger are installed and set up correctly.

  2. Update App Settings: Configure your system details (such as available current) in the Emporia app to enable intelligent charge rate management.

  3. Connectivity: Both devices need to be continuously connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network for PowerSmart to function in an optimized way.

PowerSmart Upgrade

If you already own an Emporia Energy EV Charger without PowerSmart enabled, there's no need to worry. You can contact our Customer Support to acquire the necessary upgrade without changing any hardware. For new customers, a Vue monitor is included with the PowerSmart bundle available on our shop page.
