A few things to note related to PowerSmart and its capabilities.

Updated over 5 months ago

While PowerSmart offers advanced dynamic control for your EV Charger, there are some limitations to be aware of:

  • Single Monitor and EV Charger Configuration: Currently, PowerSmart supports only one Vue 3 or Vue 2 energy monitor paired with one EV Charger. Controlling multiple EV Chargers with a single monitor or a single EV Charger with multiple monitors is not yet supported. These features are under consideration for future updates.

  • Compatible Devices: PowerSmart is compatible only with Vue 3 or Vue 2 energy monitors. The Vue: Utility Connect and Vue: Gen 1 devices are not supported for the PowerSmart feature at this time.

  • Exclusive to Emporia EV Charger: The PowerSmart feature is designed specifically for the Emporia Level 2 EV Charger. Integration with third-party EV Chargers or other appliances and breakers is not currently available.

  • 6A Minimum Available Power: PowerSmart requires a minimum of 6 amps of available capacity within the electrical panel to function. We are working on future updates that will allow the functionality to operate with as low as 0 amps (no charge).
