Existing Feature Limitations

A few things to note related to PowerSmart and its capabilities.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

While PowerSmart offers advanced dynamic control for your EV Charger, there are some limitations to be aware of:

  • Single Monitor and EV Charger Configuration: PowerSmart currently supports one Vue 3 or Vue 2 energy monitor paired with one EV Charger. Multiple monitor/charger configurations are planned for future updates.

  • Compatible Energy Monitors: Only Vue 3 and Vue 2 energy monitors work with PowerSmart. Vue: Utility Connect and Vue: Gen 1 devices are not supported.

  • Emporia EV Chargers Only: PowerSmart works exclusively with the Emporia Level 2 EV Charger. Third-party chargers and other appliances are not supported.

  • 6A Minimum Available Power: PowerSmart requires at least 6 amps of available capacity. Future updates will enable operation with as low as 0 amps.
