Choose the Classic EV Charger if you:
Want a quality Level 2 charger at a lower initial investment
Prefer to purchase components separately based on your needs
Need basic Level 2 charging with time-of-use scheduling included at no extra cost
Have adequate electrical panel capacity and don't need load management right away
Want the flexibility to add dynamic load balancing (PowerSmart) later via a paid upgrade
Note: The Classic charger includes time-of-use scheduling at no extra cost. Solar optimization is available when paired with a separately purchased Vue monitor. Dynamic load balancing (PowerSmart) is available as a paid upgrade.

Need faster charging speeds (up to 48A)
Have solar panels and want to optimize self-consumption automatically
