How It Works

The AI Energy Assistant connects directly to your Emporia devices and usage data. Ask questions naturally, and the assistant analyzes your actual usage patterns to provide answers, visualizations, and insights. You can ask follow-up questions to dig deeper, request custom charts, and explore your data from any angle.

Getting Started:

  1. Visit the AI Energy Assistant page from your browser

  2. Log in with your Emporia account credentials

  3. Start asking questions about your energy data

Starting a New Conversation:

If you reach message limits or want to explore a new topic, simply start a fresh conversation. The assistant will still have access to all your energy data.

Daily Message Limits:

You have approximately 50+ messages per day, depending on conversation complexity and data volume. Complex visualizations or large date ranges may use more of your daily limit.


Troubleshooting Common Issues

"The assistant doesn't understand my question."

  • Try rephrasing with more specific details

  • Use exact device names and circuit numbers from your Emporia app

"Visualizations won't display properly."

  • Switch tothe desktop for complex charts

  • Simplify the date range for mobile devices

"I hit the message limit."

  • Start a new conversation to continue

  • Limits reset daily

  • Users with 10+ devices may experience slower processing

  • Try simpler queries first, then add complexity


Privacy & Data Security

Your data stays private with the AI Energy Assistant. Emporia never sells your information.

Key Privacy Points:

  • While the assistant is powered by OpenAI, we've opted out of all data sharing for model training

  • Your conversations won't be used to train AI models

  • If you delete your Emporia account, all assistant data is deleted as well

  • All data access is secured through your Emporia account credentials


Current Limitations

As a research release, you may encounter occasional limitations:

  • Response Accuracy - Responses may not be perfect on the first try; rephrasing can help

  • Device Volume - Users with 10 or more devices may experience slower responses or session limits

  • Mobile Rendering - Very complex charts may not render perfectly on mobile devices

  • Conversation Length - Very long conversations may eventually hit length limits

  • Daily Limits - Approximately 50+ messages per day based on complexity
