Timer is a feature to allow you to change the behavior of the Smart Plug (on or off) based on a real-time countdown from when its enabled. Right now, the timer function is only available on Android but we'd like to add this feature to both iOS and the web app in the future. Details on how to get to the Settings page to start/stop a timer can be found here. Here is a screenshot of what a default Timer page will look like within the app:

The key to having the timer function properly is to keep the app running, either in the foreground or as a background phone process in order to keep track of the real-time progress of the timing itself. Once the countdown is reached, then the control will be triggered and turn the Smart Plug on/off depending.
