Updated today

The Emporia Energy app includes a comprehensive notification system to help you monitor energy usage, track device activity, and respond to important events.

Access notification settings by tapping the Notifications bell icon in the app or navigating to Menu (☰) > Notification Settings.

Understanding Notifications

How Notifications Work:

  • Account-specific and tied to the mobile device where they were created

  • Do not sync across shared accounts or multiple devices

  • Notification history is stored for 30 days

Accessing Notifications: Tap the Notifications bell icon to view recent alerts and review past 30 days of notification history.

Pre-Configured Notifications

The app includes built-in notifications that monitor important energy events automatically.

  • Trigger: Usage exceeds threshold for more than 2 hours

  • Purpose: Safety alert to prevent hazards and wasted energy

Peak Demand Alert

  • Requirement: "Mains" circuit of Vue devices or primary measurement of Utility Connect/EV Charger

  • Trigger: Current 15-minute window nearing top three highest usage periods for the month
