While the EV Charger itself is a fairly easy installation - having an electrician can certainly help. They'd be able to help figure out the specific installation requirements for your particular installation scenario like wire run/length from the electrical service to the charger, installing a NEMA plug (if needed) and more. A professional installation is not required in many situations, but can be helpful unless you're comfortable working with residential electrical circuits at ~240V.
