Right now the Emporia system is a bit limited to be able to charge based on the vehicles set battery percentage. The J1772 specification does not provide that type of data to be shared between the electric vehicle and EV Charger directly - so to get this type of functionality we'll need to communicate to/from the vehicle outside of the EV Charger J1772 connection to the vehicle. We've partnered with a company called SmartCar to provide this communications integration moving forward - so in the future we should be able to charge based on the vehicles battery percentage as long as your vehicle manufacturer provides API access to the vehicle as well as the proper settings to allow charging based on that value. A list of vehicles that can be integrated in this way can be found on SmartCar's website here if needed.
Important to note - all of the existing EV Charger functionality is available without the SmartCar integration, so that is not required to get the full feature set from the EV Charger.
